“People come and go so quickly around here!” Dorothy

Every day is an adventure for Joyce and me. Here’s what I think I’m up to, or at least what I was up to yesterday:

I continue awakening in service to inmates. As part of a local group called “Live and Learn,” I join a terrific group of volunteers in facilitating meaningful conversations. It turns out not to be so hard to see the Christ Light shining through the orange jail clothing.

The work of helping nonprofits  grow their capacity through building sustainable volunteer programs continues to unfold. Joyce and I are working with a wonderful nonprofit helping them establish a volunteer-staff team to redo and manage their website. We’ve recently facilitated a workshop and a conversation in partnership with The Sedona Community Center – both around this same idea of helping nonprofits build capacity – one around communication tools and one around volunteers. We’ll see where this adventure leads!

Joyce and I are expanding The Computer Spirit‘s e-newsletter clientèle. In addition to the terrific group she’s working with already, we’ve recently added The Humane Society of Sedona and Society for a Return to Honor. We’re having fun creating WordPress websites together and hope to do this work for others soon.

We love helping brides and grooms deepen their commitment to each other and their marriage and celebrate their joyful wedding. We’re working on attracting more opportunities to serve in this way.

Joyce and I are enjoying our daily adventure in Sedona – meeting new friends and hanging out with old friends and family who visit. Lately, we’ve been getting out into the beautiful country around Sedona, connecting with Nature. It’s an exciting time for us.

These are interesting times – times which challenge us to grow into our true selves as we maintain our peaceful presence in the world. And that’s a project!
