Is healing without nature possible?
Can we, cut off and separated from nature, recover our wholeness? Would we want to want to live cut off and separated from nature?
How then do we remember our oneness with nature?
How do we bring peace to nature and open the way for nature to bring peace to us?
What was it about our relationship with nature throughout prehistory that brought healing to humans? Shall we restore that today?
In those moments when you felt most deeply connected with nature, what did you feel? What parts in you were touched most profoundly? Is that something that you would like to replicate if you could?
What’s stopping you?
How is it that your daily decisions exclude nature? Do they really exclude nature? When you look about the room, do you notice the contributions made to your comfort by nature? Do you honor nature for these contributions not just to comfort but to your life? Did you really think you could separate yourself from nature?
As a mammal, do you sense your place in nature? Do you remember the instincts that lie in the core of your physical existence? Do you breathe the same air and drink the same water as nature’s other creatures? Are you buffeted by the cycles of hot-and-cold, wet-and-dry, giving-and-receiving as your fellow creatures?
As spirit, do you feel any less connected to nature?
Do you remember when you used to talk to spirits in nature? How did those conversations make you feel? Did you imagine yourself part of all life? Did you feel one with that butterfly? That bird?
And how did you feel when you hugged that dog? When you felt that cat’s hearting beating? When you felt the aliveness in that hamster?
Do you feel that aliveness in you now? Is that unconditional love a part of you now?
Let’s remember nature together, and stretching into that memory, let us find peace together.
